On the past 12th September, the children’s fashion boutique PAPOS presented its autumn-winter 2013 collection in its fashion show named “Viajamos por Europa” (“Travelling around Europe”). Together with several sponsoring companies, Papos organized this charity children’s fashion show supporting the FUNDACIÓN ISIDORA PERTUSA and its work furthering childhood.

The event took place in the fantastic Hotel Balneario Resort Las Arenas in Valencia. More than 300 people gathered there in addition to the almost 100 children participating in the show.

The volunteer hostess in charge of the event was the well-known TV presenter Carmen Alcaide, who entertained with her usual charm. Manuela de Juan owner and director of PAPOSpresided the show, together with Antonio Zaragoza president of the Fundación Isidora Pertusa and Cristina Zaragoza director of Fundación Isidora Pertusa. Furthermore, the ceremony also counted on the presence of several entrepreneurs and public figures of the Valencian society.

The Isidora Pertusa Foundation, NGO nonprofit organization whose labour focuses on childhood, signed a collaboration agreement last July 22 with Santiago Apóstol School in Cabanyal, Valencia.

The school promotes the right to education, providing service to the communities most affected by poverty and guaranteeing the free-of-charge and avoiding any kind of discrimination for economic, social or cultural reasons.

Santiago Apostol School prepares the students to take part actively in the transformation and improvement of society.

In that sense, the Isidora Pertusa Foundation will cooperate in the development and progress of the school contributing with economic aid and supply of necessary school and sanitation equipment for the proper running of the establishment.

With this commitment the Isidora Pertusa Foundation continues accomplishing its mission in favour of disadvantaged children, contributing to the improvement of childhood´s life, this time here in Valencia.

On Tuesday 18th June, the I Meeting of Corporate Allies of UNICEF in the Valencian Community took place in Sercotel Sorolla Palace Hotel. We had the participation of 31 people, representatives from 21 companies and organization allied with UNICEF Valencian Community, among which was ISIDORA PERTUSA FOUNDATION.

It is vital for UNICEF to count on the support of the companies, because they can become real agents of social change. The Corporate Allies makes up a joint commitment aimed to the promotion of values of rights and social transformation, beyond the simple economic funding of UNICEF programmes.

Several media echoed the Charity Event that the Foundation organized last Friday, February 15th in the hotel Las Arenas in Valencia. The aim of the event was to present the Fundación Isidora Pertusa to the Valencian society and our view of a more solidary future towards childhood. Our director, Cristina Zaragoza, and our president, Antonio Zaragoza, represented the Foundation and talked about its values and goals. Other assistants to the event were our ambassadors Julien Gerbi and Jorge Zaragoza, our allies Bienvenida Guerrero president of the UNICEF Committee of the Valencian Community and Fernando Contreras Regional director of Intermón Oxfam, who offered disinterestedly their support and image.

Other renowned assistants were Verónica Caballer from Pirotécnia Caballer, Manolo Bertolín owner of the car dealership Automóviles Bertolín, Philippe Gautheron director of Virage Racing Academy, Kiko Murcia from the group Murcia Puchades, Victor Bertolín director of Zumex, many lawyers from the firm Broseta y Cuatrecasas, among many others. Some of them are already new members of the Foundation.

The solidarity night was ran by Alejandro García from Radionou, and included a belly dance show offered by Mary Rashida and presents for the assistants, thanks to companies such as PAPOS, Isabel Segura, Dadyma, Nirvana terraza disco Rubio Kids, Joyería Rodolfo, Cibelina, Bodegas Rafael Cambra, Hotel Las Arenas, MAA... Above all, there was time to talk about sharing our cause and to think about childhood situation around the world. Many of the assistants decided to collaborate that same night.
